Types of Nails, Nail Polish and the Differences between them explained!

Your hands, or in other words your business card. Nails are not an unnecessary luxury in both private and professional life. There are so many ways to do your nails these days. BIAB, Gel, Acrylic. We will take you along with a number of nail types. This way you can choose what suits you best

Basic nail polish

Let's start with nail polish as we all know it. You probably know the normal nail polish. You used this often as a child. This nail polish comes in all shapes and colors. You can go for matte nails, a natural look, a shine, holographic nails and much more!

The disadvantage of basic nail polish is of course that it often does not last long. The first chips will start to form within 1 week

Gel nailpolish

Gel polish is nail polish that must harden under an LED or UV lamp. This means the paint stays on much longer.

In principle, gel polish works the same as nail polish. You first file your nails, apply a base coat and apply a color. The difference is that your gel polish must harden under an LED lamp.

So you do need several items. At Pink Gellac you can purchase a starter kit for about 100 euros.

Applying it takes some time, but then you get something. The nails stay in place for an average of 2 weeks

Gel polish stickers

Stickers on your nails? That can't be sturdy, can it? Well nothing could be further from the truth. This is truly our favorite product. Red, yellow, pearl, leopard print, you name it! Maniac Nails has it all.

Anna and Marlot came up with this great idea after they encountered an irritation. Gel nails are of course super beautiful, but it takes so much time and effort. But how does it work?

1. File your nails into the right shape. Push your cuticles back. Clean your nails with the Maniac prep pad to remove any oils.

2. By holding the sticker sheet above the nail you can see which gel polish sticker fits on which nail. Choose the right size and first remove the protective plastic from the gel polish sticker.
3. Carefully remove the gel polish sticker from the sheet and stick it on your nail. Keep a small space between the cuticle and the gel polish sticker. Press the gel polish sticker firmly around the edges of the nails.

4. Fold the remaining part of the gel polish sticker around the nail edge and remove this part with the file or scissors. It doesn't matter if it's not so neat yet - we'll file it nicely! First let the gel polish stickers harden for 60 seconds under the lamp. Now file the gel polish sticker until it is the same length as your nail and the edges are nice and smooth.
5. Apply the Maniac Top Coat and let it harden under the lamp for 60 seconds.

BIAB Nails

Do you have brittle nails or do you often bite your nails? Then here is your solution. The BIAB nails, also called 'Builder in a bottle'.

BIAB is a strengthening and flexible gel that can be built up into a beautiful, even nail. BIAB contains nutrition for your natural nails, so that they become stronger. After a while, your nails are so nourished that you really notice that your nails grow better and become stronger.

BIAB nails last about 3/4 weeks. This can then be removed or refilled. If you are a little handy, you can do this yourself! You can also go to a salon for a BIAB treatment. That's nice sometimes too!
